The primary media type that our group will be utilising will be social media, for example setting up a group twitter account from which we can document our CanSat journey and updates via informative and engaging tweets. Alongside Twitter, our group may also set up a TikTok account with posts utilising the slideshow feature which will allow our group to condense key information about our CanSat journey in an appealing form. Our target demographic will generally be any individual interested in science, particularly physics but more specifically we will be aiming to target teenagers who are interested in STEM and those who are interested in a project such as ours.
Tik Tok Short-form content

The main type of media that our group will be using will be social media, more specifically platforms such as “TikTok” and “Twitter”. Through Twitter, our team will aim to create a group CanSat account from which we can utilise the tweets as a way through which we can post updates about our CanSat journey. Through Twitter, those who are interested in our CanSat journey will be able to
follow this twitter account and will be able to like, retweet and comment on our updates if they so choose.
Through TikTok, our group will be able to post short engaging videos , usually 30 to 60 seconds long which can show our target audience where we are in our journey at that current point. On TikTok, we will be primarily utilising the “slideshow” feature which will allow our group to condense vital information into an engaging form of media which will hopefully gather interest in our journey. Using the slideshow feature, our audience will be able to swipe through slides that contain information regarding our CanSat without the information being in a format that might feel bring to our target demographic.
We will be using both photos and videos to show our CanSat journey as the photos can be used to more easily condense large amounts of information into an understandable form, but the videos can be used to show specific parts of our journey, for example a video to show how we soldered the pins to the BMP280 sensor so that it could be slotted into the breadboard. These videos will provide an insight into the specifics of the project which will ideally be interesting to our viewers. Our target audience will be anyone who has a shared interest in physics and astronomy, but we will be especially targeting younger teenagers with this shared interest as we hope to inspire them to participate in such a project. Furthermore, having a target audience of a similar age to us, we will be able to cater to their specific interests more easily and we will more easily know how to engage with those who are a similar age group to us.
